Just like in football, when you play your first tough contest the LSU baseball team in my opinion got EXPOSED with major weakness. Actually more than one weakness and those being (1) the pitching staff is not as promising as thought to be with the lone exception being Mr. Anderson. (2) The tigers hitting is as inept when facing decent pitching. I say decent because those longhorn pitchers were not all that great (in my opinion) and LSU could not put the bat to ball and hit it where they are not as the longhorn hitters did with consistency against LSU pitching. Just as in watching an LSU basketball game, I found it very painful and frustrating to watch so I chose to do something else. But God bless this team and hope they get better in both areas as they have the potential to be a very very good team.

You are an expert on the problems, but you didn’t watch?

Not a huge deal yet, but here are glaring issues:

1. Bras is a liability right now
2. Middle relief struggled big time
3. Shores has a case of the mental issues, like Hurd
4. Jake Brown has been feasting on dwellers but struggled mightily in Austin
5. Pitching Coach is a liability

We will see what happens and how they respond.

Jay is our guy for the next 30 years hopefully.

But we can’t end up with Jones at 3B and Jake Brown at 1B for the first time all year in the 6th inning of a Sunday rubber game against a top 10 team.

Larson and Reaves need more PT.

Shores has loads of talent, but gracious he’s inconsistent. I’d give him a couple of more starts and then send him to the pen if control issues continue.

I like Brown, but was terrible this weekend.

And can we get Stanfield to smile or show any emotion whatsoever? We need some leaders.

I feel like this is one of those things on TD where people keep saying this like it’s a fact, but it’s not

He has fallen off mightily from last year.

Elite pitching coaches ultimately get a shot as a head coach (Wes Johnson). Outside of an interim stint @ Washington, why hasn't Yeskie gotten that call? He damn sure wasn't liked at A&M.

He's been a product of talent at all of his stops, but that only gets you so far.

The guy is a career assistant at big schools where he can coast. Those are facts.

You mention these guys while ignoring the biggest hole in the lineup thru the first 2 series.

Batting Average in SEC play
.316 Jake Brown (6 for 21)
.235 Michael Braswell (4 for 17)
.167 Josh Pearson (3 for 18)

My health is better spending less time on the Rant during baseball season after a loss.

Yea Cowan and Evans didn’t do anything….

Oh wait, they must have been pitching when you decided to stop watching.

“I didn’t watch, but this team sucks.”

Do us all a favor and don’t post anything else about baseball.

Opinion. One example doesn’t make it a fact

No, those are opinions

You’re talking completely out of your arse, which is completely okay, but please know the difference between a fact and an opinion

Wes was 51 years old when he finally got hired as a head coach.

He's 50 years old right now. He's got another year after this one before your argument holds any water.
