They can put together a really challenging course if they want. Always hoped someone would start a tour of the Appalachian mountains. Could really hit a lot of states. Glad racing is back in the states.

Would love to see a race in the Appalachians. So many great steep climbs to choose from while out here in CO, gradients are more mild (3-6%) but obviously you have the altitude to contend with.

Would be tough to get locals to support a multi-day race in the east. The Tour of Georgia did well just because of Lance but I remember grumbling about it.

Let’s do a TT up Pikes Peak! That would be a shite show of epic proportions…yep, I laughed when typing this.

They will have a new blacktop all the way up to the top as well. They are repaving all summer so it won’t be open this year

I've always wondered if the US would support a stage race like they do in Europe. I don't think Americans would like their roads being shut down. I would enjoy it but I don't think many others would.

The tour of California was cancelled due to cost of permitting of the race primarily related to closing roads. Although I think it would be a little different in the middle of Missouri. But yeah a 3 week race in the US would be incredible given our diversity in terrain.

It lasted only 6 years and lance only won once. I worked at the 07 running. Stopping in Macon was not their best idea ever. Not your normal cycling crowd, just folks walking tent to tent seeing what was free
