No, it won't. Gay marriage and Christianity simply are not compatible. If your church promotes... or even simply supports... gay marriage, find another church. There are plenty out there.

Why can't two same sex persons enjoy the same misery that heterosexual couples do? Just kidding about the misery part. Honestly how does having the ability to make decisions for your partner of 25+ years, or having the estate going to you without a will affect Christianity? God loves all, sinners included. Commitments should always be a legal agreement, and "Marriage" be a religious thing that each religion can set their requirements.

Simple, by making it a law that you can’t do something that your church says you can do, then you are infringing on their beliefs and their ability to practice those beliefs.
That’s literally why the Pilgrims came here in the first place.
