Not trying to call a player out but what did he do in high school to warrant this rating. His 3 point shooting is atrocious I mean they have been nothing but air balls or backboard breakers touching no rim. Every time he drives it is blocked or just an embarrassing miss. Lastly his defense is just as poor as when his man drives on him he always is getting beat. You never see him help double team, fight for a rebound or get steals.

Yes I know a lot of this is coaching but this is also basic basketball fundamentals. He plays scared and not prepared. Probably most of our expectations were higher for him going into the season with his rankings but he needs plenty of development!!

Why not... he's getting PAID to play a game and go to school. Maybe he's just not an SEC caliber player.

They're all leaving as soon and their portal window opens.

Just being an LSU fan you would like to see these young adults succeed and flourish. Some do others don’t.

I just haven’t seen any development from him since the beginning of the season. He has five SEC games with 0 field goals made, four SEC games with 1 field goal made and two more SEC games with only 2 field goals made. With the minutes he is playing and being a starter this is a complete disaster.

I agree with that. I know some freshmen take longer to develop than others but he has shown no improvement. Not sure where the 4 star came from. That has been MM biggest weakness his entire time here. No SEC caliber starting PG. If he doesn't fix that next year he will be gone for sure.

Of everything to complain about with McMeh and the current state of the program, Givens is the top of the list. How McMeh keeps giving a player that much playing time with disasterous results should count as causation to terminate his contract.

We sit behind the visiting team's bench. During the Tennessee game, Rick Barnes told his team "Keep leaving 3 open to take the shot. He can't make shite."

I've said this i nanother thread about Givens, but he's the worst player I've seen at LSU in the last decade or so to get significant minutes. I get he's a freshman but there's literally nothing he's good at. He easily one of the worst players in the entire conference this season getting minutes.

This all stems from McMahon not getting a PG though and instead getting Sears from the portal who shouldnt be playing on this level to begin with as hes not a ball handler and not nearly good enough offensively to pretend to be a short 2 guard either. As a result, Sears has really not been playing much in conference play, which means another guard has to, and that's Givens.
