"The King Tide" (free on Prime) is definitely worth a watch...

Red Letter Media recently posted a video recommending it, so I gave it a shot.
I think that it's much better than it's 6.4 IMDB rating. The cinematography and atmosphere were great, it was well acted (by a bunch of people you most likely have never seen before), and it had an ending that forces you to question whether what's happening is a good thing or not.
It's best to go into it blind, even avoiding reviews. About 10 minutes into the movie, you're going to think that it's a horror film. It's not really, more of a fantasy drama that focuses on people's reactions to an unusual situation.
And to maybe help keep you from being distracted, it was filmed in Keels, Newfoundland. The Red Letter Media folks started watching and were expecting the first words to have an Irish/Scandanavian accent. I did as well, and had to pause the movie 10 minutes in to check the filming locations because it was distracting me. The town of Keels has a population of 30, and many of the locals were used as extras.

Great recommendation. Great flick. Free on prime. Really enjoyed it. A combination of Midnight Mass and The Village.

This is why i normally trust rotten tomatoes over the other sites. It has 95% positive there from critics and 79% from audience.
IMDB somehow has more people rating it a 1 than a 2 or 3, but the general concensus is still 6-8. Which in my opinion is worth at least one watch most of the time.
