Looking for a fun long weekend getaway in May with the wife and no kids - without knowing any other details, which one are you picking?

isn't the last weekend of jazz fest usually in early may? that would earn my vote for a new orleans trip.

5 days is a lot for either but I do Nashville in hopes I can hang with the Kid and Boebert one evening.

Imagine it like this, we wouldn't spend the whole time there. I can correct the title.
Drive Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Return Sunday but maybe Monday.

Nashville by a landslide. Not a chance I’d go to NO!

Nashville. You may get to see a major act at the Grand Old Opera or the Ryman but regardless there will be great music both nights on Broadway.

My wife (no pics) and I just returned from a long weekend in Nashville. The Broadway area is extremely clean, with live music (not just country music) in every bar/honkey tonk you pass, and plenty to do if you stay in the area. We did a Saturday night at the Grand Ole Opry, visited the Country Music Hall of Fame, and traveled to Lynchburg to tour the Jack Daniels Distillery. We drove to Lynchburg (1 hr to 1.5 hr drive), but they have several bus tours that leave from the downtown area on most days. I got a New Orleans feel, but it was fresher and cleaner, and we felt reasonably safe walking around at night.

we did a three day weekend in nashville 2/28-3/3. it was wonderful.
stay downtown and you wont need a car
downtown nashville is clean, safe, fun and pretty with tons to do/see/eat/drink.
