USPS faces DOGE audit calls

Given the drop in mail (between most packages being shipped by UPS, FedEx, or Amazon's own delivery, and the drop in traditional mail) yet USPS adds a bunch of employees, this is long overdue.

Unfortunately, the audit notification was sent by USPS and will not arrive until 2027.

the govt needs to just turn over the USPS to a private company and wash their hands of it. The govt would win and anyone receiving/sending mail would win.

AFTER the check clears to the Port of Mobile for the funds to redo the rails (which will help the Port more than Amtrak).
