The mistake the US made

When we conquered nations in war we should have taken them as our own.

It has to be all or nothing.

Our mistake is the arrogance that people in other parts of the world share the same values and thinking that we do.
Believing that we can reshape an Afghanistan or Iraq into a mold of western society is one of the most idiotic ideas I’ve ever heard of.
A lot of people there don’t want that. They want a better society, but not wholly based upon our ideals and values.

I will be honest, I don't know why the country of Germany exist today. The neighboring countries should have just took what they wanted. Except France, they are a bunch of weenies.

Well that line of thinking is exactly what was wrong with the world for the thousands of years prior. Trying to conquer and rule people. The US just wanted to try something different.
