Getting a new laptop. I need a good quality external CD/DVD read/write drive. Suggestions?

Do you need it to be able to decrypt Blu-Rays? Probably not, I'm guessing, but if so, it's a definite factor, and you may need to go grey market to get the proper firmware.
I have an ASUS Black 12X Blu-ray Burner SATA BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS that I bought in 2012 that I put into a cheap external case that I still use just fine.

Point is you can buy a DVD drive from the same manufacturer and it'll last. Sorry that was confusing.

They have at walmart for 29 i think. I got mine at goodwill for 2 bucks to burn some stuff for my mother.
