Maybe 10-15yrs ago, La Sportsman, was a pretty good web page to go visit, had a decent classified section, and you could get reports on fishing areas and where people where catching fish at. It went downhill big time after Masson left. Just visited the page for the first time in years and it doesn't seem that bad, are they making a come back?

I think the paywall killed it. The classifieds were always good, but facebook marketplace kind of took that over.

First they changed the format which drove a lot of people away and then came the pay wall which cratered it even more.

Now they just share what WMA a big buck was killed on

Are there alternatives to this? We had the same thing in Alaska and I have not seen anything here. I use the crappie fishing forum, but that is all I have found.

Since all that went down with La Sportsman, this is really the only outdoor board I use now

It was my go-to for gun classifieds. It seems like there’s a lot less listings now though since they’ve changed it up. Which is not necessarily a bad thing because there were a lot of scam postings.

Facebook marketplace and groups killed those functions on LA Sportsman. I keep a subscription to search past articles.
