Carlitos beat De Minaur to win the title in Rotterdam although he's still making too many errors.

They turned Dallas into a 500 tourney this year and Shapo just beat Ruud in the final. Somewhere MidnightVibe is smiling.

Good for Shapo. I watched a decent amount of him the last couple of days.

I saw Choctaw Resorts was a sponsor for the tournament. I know Oklahoma enjoys the casino business from Texas. I went to look up what sportsbook Choctaw is affiliated with -- they have like 150 tribal casinos and no sportsbooks! Oklahoma, what are you doing?

Lol you can play slots but can't bet on sports.

What would you say is the biggest difference in Shapo's game now? I didn't watch much but I saw him hitting a few more drop shots and those can be deadly when you have that kind of power. Also read that he's not getting frustrated at every unforced error. Saw Tipsarevic is his coach now too. That could explain some of the changes.

The hype with Fonseca is truly insane but justified so far.

Wow. It would be nice to see someone get in the mix with Sinner and Carlitos. Zverev is sort of there, I guess.

You were right on Shapo's attitude. He seemed happy out there. I was surprised at his ability to grind points. Tipsy is probably helping with that.

This is a weird few tournaments. In these 250s, guys like Fritz have no matches until Thursday. I always like the Dubai/Acapulco week.

I won $27k on OSU national championship to bring me back from the dead of $20k losses last year. Back to grinding out small bets on CBB and tennis every day. On Pegula -180 tomorrow. Will probably sprinkle some on Zhang against Hurka.

Pegula got stomped after the first set.

Zhang is a winner on the Hurka fade.

Adding a Tien bet.

Tien and Arnaldi was a wild match. Tien had multiple chances for a double break in the third set and didn't convert. Arnaldi hit a bunch of clutch bombs on serve. Tien served for the match and didn't get it done. I believe he fought off a MP to get it to a breaker.

Goodbye to Diego.

Didn’t realize he was #8 in the world in 2020. Doing that in modern tennis at 5’7”… you gotta tip your cap.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner accepts three-month ban from tennis to settle doping case

Jannik Sinner has accepted a three-month ban from tennis to settle a case which has lingered over the sport for months after he twice tested positive for a banned substance, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced on Saturday.

The men’s world No. 1 will be banned from February 9 to May 4 after twice testing positive for banned substance Clostebol in March 2024, meaning that he will be eligible to play in the French Open – the next grand slam on the calendar.

Sinner had previously avoided suspension from competition with the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announcing in August that he wasn’t at fault for the positive tests. Two samples collected eight days apart at Indian Wells in March 2024 showed low levels of Clostebol, an anabolic steroid.

Misses zero slams

Zero monetary fine

Zero titles given back

Watching players play 45 second points and then have zero heavy breaths after is so funny

Meddy has been garbage this year. I would stay away from him.

Thanks to Fonseca for stealing one for me yesterday after Tien took the gaspipe against Arnaldi.

Nick is rolling.

Nice to see this sweetheart with a tournament win. I didn't know Doha and Dubai are 1000 tournaments for WTA.

I meant to bet on fat Ostapenko against Swiatek. Ostapenko is now 5-0 against her.

Fonseca wins his first title. Davidovich Fokina choked 5-2 and double match point in the third set to Kecmanovic.
