I guess they’ll make Brad Stevens say no and then go hard after Chris Beard. Will Wade maybe a dark horse.

I can't wait for Bruce Pearl to, yet again, be rumored for this head coaching job even though he's never leaving Auburn.

I’m not sure if Beard being a Bobby Knight guy helps or hurts Indiana. Beard has also spent the majority of his coaching career in Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. I’m not sure if Beard wants the Indiana job or if Indiana wants a Bobby Knight guy either.

I think it's a good medium because he's a Bob Knight guy but he didn't go to Indiana.

Dusty May would be their coach right now if Woodson would have retired after last season. That ship has probably sailed now since he's the head coach at Michigan and they're having a great season in the Big Ten.

That 2001-02 team was a Bobby Knight team. Mike Davis got run when he couldn't recruit to the school. Tom Crean is the only guy without Knight ties but his brother in law (John) was an assistant coach for the football team a couple of decades before that. They will likely try to replicate what they did with the football hires last winter. They don't automatically get Indiana's Mr Basketball anymore. (The road for Minnesota Hockey over the past 3 decades is very similar.)
