I hope the movie is as good as the book. Rare is the case, however.

I just finished reading this book. And when I say "finished", I mean, put it aside. What a let down.

The book is unconvincing, vulgar, self-indulgent garbage. I just don't see how the movie could possibly live up to that.

I picked the book up a while ago after seeing fight club, in high school I think. I think I gave up on it after the guy was masturbating to nursing home surveillance footage while the nurse was away from her post for a minute.

It's just a bunch of 'shock' crap and has no real substance. It was terrible.

I'm a huge Pahlaniuk fan, but his last few books are really disappointing. It's like he just throws five ideas into one book and never fully develops any of them. Choke is guilt of this, but not nearly so much as Rant.

Just read Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, and Survivor and close the book on Chuck.
