Seriously? Wow. I know the 4 game skid, along with the past few seasons was disappointing, but I never would have thought.

Wow! that is a suprise being this late, but I always felt his team was a fluke which is why I hate the Bucs so much. With him and GM out something is fishy (big name might be on the way)

Parcells? or did he burn his bridges previously?

Via NFL Network could be possible due to his wanting total control, plus with Denver paying his contract could come at a big discount

I thought he was a decent coach- therefore I'm glad to see him leave the division.

Now there's a place for Haslett and Venturi

Wonder if Gruden (and who knows how many Tennessee Vols fans) are seeing this news and thinking of what could have been.

I still don't see why Shanahan or Gruden would want to coach this year. They were both fired so they get their salaries regardless.

If they sign up to coach another team this year they're basically working 100 hour weeks and killing themselves for free.

probably to get away from the wives.

best guess is that if you see a good oppurtunity than you have to take it, cause it wont be there next year

The Bucs owners also own Manchester United overseas, local Tampa radio indicates the payroll for the soccer team has really hit them in the pocketbook and that the owners may be in trouble.

The rumor mill is swirling with speculation the team will be up for sale within the next year or two.

John Clayton and Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, report the firings of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen cost roughly $25 million in contract commitments, according to multiple sources. Gruden had signed a three-year, $15.3 million extension and was under contract through 2012. Allen was earning more than $2 million annually.

Damn, that's really wanting someone out. I liked a comment that we could only see Gruden on TV commentary if they had a 7 second delay for bleeping him.
