Has anyone seen it?

Not typically a western movie fan, gonna watch it tonight though, I think.

Eh.. I wasn't really impressed at all. Mediocre at best. Horrible ending, IMHO.

3:10 to Yuma was a hell of a lot better.

I really like everyone involved with the pic, except Zellweger. Having said that, I didn't enjoy the film nearly as much as I thought I would.

good film, don't know what y'all were lookin for, Ed Harris captured the era perfectly, it had a rough, gritty look to it that made it seem real.

good movie, watched it tonight. I agree the ending could've been better but still a good movie.

Dude, the ending to Appaloosa must absolutely suck if you're saying 3:10 to Yuma was better.

Apaloosa is pretty good, worth watching thats for sure.

I don't think you can compare it with 310 to yuma. To me they were different kinds of movies, both westerns yes but 310 struck me as more of an action western. apaloosa more towards the dramatic western but still with action.... if that makes any sense.

Saw it last night...

the ending was a bit like "Hunh?" to us.

but Vigo and Ed Harris.

True.

SPOILER: After the 3 guys died at the begining, I just kind of expected the rest of the film to be like that.

I prefer Open Range over both of them. But 3:10 To Yuma was better than Appaloosa.

Funny you should ask. We watched it about 4 days ago. My SO will watch ANYTHING and we both agreed it was about the worst movie we've seen in a very long time. The editing was pure chaos: half-dead in the street one minute, and next scence they're up walking around plotting their revenge. Renee Zell looked like someone tried to make her as pure ugly and stupid as possible. Vigo is ok but even Ed Harris did a poor job, in his own movie. Run away as fast as you can and watch 3:10 to Yuma or better yet: Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Good/Bad/Ugly ... you get the picture.

Quigley Down Under is my favorite Western.

Even though it's in Austrailia.

+1

I just didn't see Ed Harris as the bad arse once the movie progressed. It slowed down alot and tried to build character with Renee and Irons. I didn't care about Renee's character from the beginning. I think this could have been better with someone else as Harris' character. Vigo was good. The ending was a WTF.

we agree Viggo was good, he is in pretty much whatever he does, but your wrong about Harris, as a critic that reviewed the movie said " his face and look seemed as though he was from that era". Harris played the part, and his misprounciation of words was funny as hell.
