Trump rescinded the Biden EO 14087which was put in place to supposedly lower drug prices for Medicare/Medicaid. Does anyone know what the Trump admin plan is? There are tons of MSM articles slamming this move so it must be a good thing.

Trump did this before Biden and Biden only did it because he got rid of trumps policy.

I'd imagine it didn't actually do shite and instead just enriched somebody affiliated with the Biden's.

IIRC it was just a big pharma handout.
Shifted the bulk of the costs from end user to government, who would line big pharma’s pockets via bulk orders at only like a 10% discount from retail. A better way to lower costs would be to shorten the patent protection period for new meds.
I actually read that straight up subsidizing generic medicine production would be cheaper than this plan, as crazy as that seems.

If this is true, it’s a gift horse for Pharma.

Sadly, this is likely the case.

It was killing mom and pop pharmacies and enriching Walgreens and CVS. Good riddance.

The Trump plan was to do it first, which they did.

I was wondering about this also . Can you explain how it was hurting mom and pop pharmacies and enriching walgreens and cvs? (I'm MAGA too, and figured if Trump is doing it there has to be a good reason)

Not exactly. My comment was based on the feedback I've heard from a couple small pharmacy owners that I know personally in a couple different states.
I'm not educated in how all that works w/ medicare claims or even insurance claims. But they say they've been taking a bath for a long time at the hands of insurance companies.
