2011 Tundra, 228,000 miles and kept up on services. I’m not looking to get rid of it anytime soon since it does everything I need it to do. I currently carry 100/300/100 full coverage. When or would you ever consider dropping the full coverage and go for the dirt cheap rate?

What’s the value of the vehicle?

What’s the premium for full coverage?

Your liability limits should stay the same at 100/300/100.

As the other poster asked, what’s the value of the vehicle? Could you cut another check for that amount without blinking an eye? If so, drop the collision and comprehensive.

Kelley Blue Book list $10,258 for a private sale value. Insurance cost $107 per month for the full coverage. I won’t like it but I could write a check easily for the value amount.

But what about a check you may have to cut to someone else for their car or medical expenses? If you dropped it to 50k liability, that wouldn't cover half the cars that the OT's women drive around on the daily and your vehicle.

He can drop the comprehensive and collision coverage and still maintain the same 100 / 300 / 100 liability limits.

You may only save $30 a month. May not be worth the 10k you would loose.

if your vehicle was worth 3-4K, i could see doing this, but not if you like your vehicle and want to keep driving it.
