Where is the hot place to be after the game in Houston? I know the stadium is about 15 min from DT Houston. Wondering where to find bars with lots of purple and gold

I imagine alot of families will head back to their suburbs.
Not sure about the ones with no kids. It's a spread out place.

20th street in Heights if you’re under 30 or so.

Lil Woodrow’s mid town turtle races are legit if you’re ever there on a Thursday!

Isn’t it in the base of the ESB and not across the street? At least that’s how I remember it.

Anything on Washington St. W. Gray street Discovery Green area will be nice for families. I Imagine the lights in River Oaks as well as other areas will still be up. Ton of places off Richmond. Moxies Galleria area is a nice bar. If you can’t tell I live here.

Unfortunately the location of NRG Stadium is not great. It’s literally just a gigantic stadium in the middle of countless parking lots. There’s no bars/restaurants in walking distance.
On the positive side, you are able to tailgate with plenty of space. The actual stadium itself is really nice and you would not think it’s 22 years old.
Honestly a bowl game at Minute Maid park similar to how Fenway and Yankee stadium puts on bowl games would be cooler than NRG. Downtown Houston is much more walkable and has more things to do and see around the stadium. NRG is better for CFP or Super Bowls but you don’t need 70K for the Texas bowl. Minute Maid could work.
