What was the last player that heldout with all the limelight and would not committ . Then turn out to be a busted?

I am assuming that we are talking about high-profile high school players who considered LSU, but decided to head elsewhere and became busts.
If that's the case, the first players I can think of are Robert Lane (Ole Miss), Luther Davis (Bama, although it might be too early to label him a bust), and Vegas Franklin.

He fumbles too much and he certainly hasn't lived up to the enormous hype, but he doesn't really approach a guy like Lane, who was the biggest recruit in the state and became a back-up tight end at Ole Miss.

true lane is a way bigger bust considering that but joe clearly hasn't lived up to the hype.
