We have a lease and duck hunt in Lafitte, It’s been pretty dismal the last few years with exception of a fluke weekend here or there.

My 14 year-old is getting frustrated and wants to try someplace different. Somebody recently mentioned to me that Bayou Sauvage Is a youth hunting area. Has anybody hunted this area recently and had any success?

Was going to try to go scout it maybe a week from this Friday. Has anybody hunted this area and would be willing to share some information. Especially if your son is past 15 where you won’t be hunting it again and giving up your honey hole? Lol. Thanks

I can share some spots my son and I used to shoot them in. We hunted there from 2017-2020. I'm sure it's like anywhere in south LA though, ducks aren't plentiful.

Edit: Responded to your email.
