How the hell do you cancel service with these assholes? I tried several times and could never speak to a person

You can’t talk to someone with a pulse. Want to ensure cancellation. Don’t pay the bill.

We drove down to the nearest office and brought all of our equipment and said "we'd like to cancel our service." Luckily the manager of that store waited on us and we were out in a couple of minutes.

Like the other guy said go to an Xfinity store. You can also cancel the auto draft thru your bank.

Best of luck. I'm in the middle of a move, and forgot to cancel Spectrum. Bastards charged me an entire month extra because I was a day late in terminating.
The only way I can think of for sure is to walk into a store like the guy above mentioned. Or, most of the time, if you keep pressing zero in an automated call, you'll eventually get to a real person to cancel.

Just got rid of it for fiber 3 months ago. As prestige said, unhook all your equipment (and I mean all of it), return to the nearest store and tell them you want to cancel. You cant do it online or over the phone. Best decision I've made in a while and saved myself $200/month.

My nearest store is over an hour and a half away. Ups store can ship the equipment but there is still the issue of cancelling the service somehow. This shouldn’t be this difficult. They made it this was on purpose

That will work but they will hammer your balls on the equipment.
I had 4 boxes, a modem and security device. When I cancelled I only brought in the modem. Got a $960 bill the next month. Returned all the equipment and they credited me everything.
