Yea, pretty sure Mom & Dad let their son know he's now a Wolverine, & 10 million will buy u happiness, till it runs out.
I don't know any High School Senior in America who wouldn't have done the same. He would have gone to Ohio St if they had outbid Mich.
If this is the state of college football then it sucks.

I would have done the same thing. So would anyone else with half a brain. Life changing money. I don't blame the kid.

I would have told LSU before I went Public though. That's the only difference.

Kid would have been a fool not to take it. Invest 5 million. Play with 1 million. (Taxes will eat a good bit, but hey...) Still life altering. Doesn't make the NFL? No big deal. He's set if he's smart. Unless he is a complete dumbass...that will sustain him for awhile. If he makes the NFL....even better.

By the looks of it, they played it just right. Hold out until Michigan gives you an offer you can’t refuse. Anyone that says they would turn a 4 year $12 mil deal down is either a liar or retarded.

They are smart not turds. He had a decent offer at LSU and why not entertain an offer 4million more.
