I saw this as a kid and you can’t convince me it’s a bad movie. This is how I came to learn about Nic Cage and love his 90s stuff.

It's up there with the Mummy and original Indiana Jones trilogy as the most rewatchable adventure movies
To this day I'm convinced the title national treasure is a double entendre referencing the plot of the movie, and Nicholas Cage's status as a national icon

what is amazing to me is that the board at Disney didn't think it could be a franchise and decided to not make any more.
