Watched 1.5 episodes last night.
If you can get over being hit over the head in just about every scene about how white people are evil, it may end up being worth a watch. The racial stuff is so ham handed and shoehorned in that it kinda becomes comical to me.

As someone enjoys the books as they’re quick easy reads, this is concerning . The books aren’t like that

The production value is good, the acting isn't bad.
Whoever wrote the script makes sure you know how bad black people in DC have it and who is to blame. Zero ambiguity to that statement either.

While I stand by my original statement just being 1.5 episodes into it at the time, the show has turned out to be way less “white man bad” than it seemed it would be at first.
After 6 episodes, I can say it’s enjoyable, if not a little above average. Predictable but still a fun ride.
Worth a watch no matter if you’re a Cross fan or not.

We binged over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Voodoo makes a great Alex Cross imo

Maybe I continued watching to see if I was wrong or not. Turns out I was, and I admitted it. I can put my politics aside when watching fictional stories.
Frankly I question the judgement of anyone who can’t maintain an open mind about something after the initial first impression before forming a conclusive opinion, but that’s just me.
