Nu tone exhaust fan wiring box making a humming sound

Live in my grandmother’s old house. Today, out of the blue, the wiring box to the exhaust fan in the bathroom starts making and electrical humming noise. The fan itself is off and I never use it.

How do I unhook it to stop it from humming?

That’s the doorbell chime. If you wanted to stop humming just take the wire off the screw that’s labeled transformer. It’s all low-voltage so don’t worry about getting shocked

Take the doorbell button apart and clean it. It'll get stuck again.
