Seat back not allowed - it's a weapon

Some woman at my gate tries to tell me that because my seat back has metal on it, it's a weapon and weapons aren't allowed in the stadium. Totally ridiculous. I walk to another gate and no one says anything.

The plan was to do that on the way out of the stadium, but I unfortunately didn't see her.

I think based on the cups flying on to the field it’s harder to argue that it’s not a weapon.

If was on the field I would rather 100 people throw a seatback at me rather than 2 or 3 throwing a full water bottle with cap on at me. She didn't sound too bright.
