Question on passing last night

Was Alabama not giving us passes over the middle or was Nuss just avoiding throwing there? All these short passes and passes to the running back on the outside when we needed long yardage was driving me crazy. Made no sense.

Nuss was inaccurate on anything downfield. Probably scared to throw int’s.

They were there most of the night. He had Hilton wide arse open streaking to the end zone down the middle and threw into the flat for an incompletion. Settled for our second FG

I will say that the O-line was getting blasted, especially Chester. There were multiple plays where Nuss had to continuously backpedal just to avoid getting stepped on by his own center.
