AJ McCarron, DJ Fluker, and Dre Kirkpatrick are 3 stars in my book. Goes to show you that these rankings are all just a bunch of garbage

ETA: This is just my opinion after observing their performances in the All American games

Fluker is a stud but i don't think will make it at LT, he may be destined to RT or G

AJ McCarron reminds me of JPW FWIW, and he needs to put some weight on

Dre looked good to me

I know you can't tell much about a player from an allstar game performance, but everytime I looked up Downs was affecting the play. He diagnosed screens quickly and beat his man regularly in 1 on 1 situations. I live in Arkansas and the only thing they CANNOT recruit is D linemen. Poor bastards.

I saw Downs play on TV about a month ago and 2 plays really stood out to me. On the first play Downs was playing defensive tackle and a running back found a hole and ran through it and into the second level wide open running full speed, Downs was running about 5 yards behind him and not gaining ground on the back, but not losing ground either, and while he didn't catch him and make the tackle, what impressed me was he didn't give up on the play running 5 yards behind the back and til he crossed the goal line. On that play Downs showed he had a motor and runs very well for his size.

The other play that stood out, again Downs was at DT and at the snap, he bullrushed his man knocking him backwards on his butt, when a blocker does this it's a pancake, when a DT does it, i'm not sure what it's called but it was a very impressive display of power.
So what I saw was a big kid who has speed, power and a motor.

Fluker has the same problem that big herm had comming out of high school. he is too big to handle any speed rushers from the outside. he will have to move inside and be covered up to be truely effective. Personally he is a 4 star OT.

Downs if he is not a 5 star he is as close as you can get. I know his knock is his size but I havent seen a game when he was blocked one on one.
