How is this for self defense? I got another safe, so I want to get some more ammo. It is $46 dollars for a 100 rounds. I will be getting some more 5.56 and 38 special self defense rounds also.

Hornady XTP hollow point is a good bullet that usually expands provided it is pushed fast enough. Numerous YouTube reviews show this. I have not seen any reviews on the AAC version but I would imagine it will be just as good as the Hornady loaded brand

It's only as good as your firearm feeds and fires it. Run that box through and make sure your pistol likes it before you carry it for self defense.

If you like Federal HST’s, Bereli has 1000 rounds shipped to your door for $499…124 or 147 gr.

IMO, it’s about as good as you can get. I’ve never had an issue with AAC ammo though.

I like these or Speer Gold Dots. HST’s run well in everything I’ve put them in, so I’ve standardized on them. 124’s.

Most people aren’t going to shoot a shite load of JHP’s so just spend a little more per round and get something proven and reliable.
