Jada Richard is looking like she’ll be a player

Gonna be some bumped recruiting board threads about her in the future

This team will be better than last years team. That’s for sure. They have much better guard play, they will defend better, they will get transition points at a better rate, and they will have a better shooting team. The only stat that might dip a little is rebounding. I also believe they hit a home run with Richard. She has been very impressive. I think the transfers will also help out tremendously. I know these aren’t SEC caliber teams but Flau’ Jae looks unstoppable.

Mrjacle Sheppard hurt in practice. She is in a walking boot at the game. Mulkey will address after game.

I knew one of the transfers was missing from the lineup but I just thought Mulkey was resting her. I hope it’s nothing too bad.

I don’t think Day Wilson is playing either. She is out tonight too.

She turned her ankle and Mulkey has said she could play but they are keeping her out of these meaningless games as a precaution.

Day-Wilson has a hip pointer
Sheppard has a stress fracture ** Mulkey said stress reactor in post game not a fracture**
Poa is out due to personal reasons

Poa has immigration issues. I am not sure if that is what’s preventing her from playing. Apparently, if you have a student Visa, you are limited what you can do as a student athlete with NIL deals. You can’t have a student visa and a work visa at the same time and maybe her earning money caused her student visa to be suspended. That’s why she filed a lawsuit today.

Underrated reason for improvement: Samaya Smith’s return from injury.

I think Del Rosario may see her PT reduced this year. She hasn’t looked like she has gained any quickness. She needs to play more on her toes, rather than flat footed. She is always late to react and doesn’t really generate much offense. Her being tall is great for defense and her 5 fouls per game may help when needed but I don’t see her playing much over Smith and Wolfenbarger.

ADR did not play all summer due to injury. She was just cleared a couple weeks ago so it will take her time to get back in playing shape.

The height difference between the teams looks like adults playing against kids.

Sheppard's injury not good news. She will be an important part of our success this year. She is quick and good on defense. Hope it's only couple weeks. Poa also same, good on defense.
