He is a very strong runner and you can bet Bama will exploit it.

The same answer we had for Arkansas

Reed coming in screwed our defensive game plan. Why we didn’t have an answer for him is another topic for discussion.

I don’t think we do, but I’m also not defensive coordinator.
Maybe put Weeks as a spy I don’t know. They have two good running backs and weapons on the outside. They will score a good bit.
I feel like our only hope is a rocking tiger stadium to throw them off, and a mistake free offense that can score touchdowns in the red zone.

So switching to the same plan as Arkansas mid-game was too hard?

That’d be a waste. We need Weeks coming after him on blitzes, delayed blitzes, off the edge, etc…We need to move him—and everybody else—around and try to pressure Milroe and bait him into throwing picks.

Now, I’m not saying we shouldn’t put a spy on Milroe, it just shouldn’t be on every play, and it shouldn’t be Weeks every time we use a spy.
Change it up. Burns would be a good spy. Penn. Just bring them from different places. Miltroe can be sulfured and baited. But he can also break a tackle, take it 75 yards and house it. But those are the risks we’re gonna have to take. Hopefully the rewards are enough to make up for them.

I don’t think it’s easy as just “switching” to another game plan. Let’s be honest, there isn’t enough time in the week to game plan for multiple QB’s. Reed hasn’t played that much and aNm made it clear he wasn’t the starter.

I’m also not a defensive coordinator but I’m sure the game plans are extensive.

Seems like you could resorted to last week's gameplan, at least...

With 2 weeks to prepare, yes. We had a good game plan for Green so I would like to think with Milroe being the main player being game planned against we should be alright forcing him to throw and taking away his running game.

The difference here is we know who we are preparing for. It will still be a challenge though.

No, I don't have a lot of faith in Kelly having a good game plan. Does that mean he won't? No, it doesn't, but I don't have much faith that he will. Just going on his history.

Zy on Williams will be a huge key to the game. If we can limit him, Bama will have issues. The rest of their WRs are pretty ordinary and they don’t have any great backs this season. It’s a two man show there right now.

Limit Williams and that puts a lot of pressure on Milroe to do it all, and that’s when he tends to make some mistakes.

I’m not sure what you are talking about in regards to the defense. Baker had pretty damn good defensive plans the last three weeks. A little too good Saturday.

Are you serious here? When a team closes the book on a game, they move on from it to the next one and focus totally on that. The calls and keys will be different.

Then you take into account the offense screwing up and giving up short fields and not holding onto the ball, and yeah, switching schemes was a problem. It was Reed’s 2nd drive before we fully adjusted, but it still didn’t work well.

This team is fricking garbage. There will be another loss somewhere along the way. Another year and another Kelly choke job
