He took the entire staff from the Saints and is being successful. This debacle is all on ownership. We had the right people and they chose poorly in every facet.

He might have taken the staff, but the talent level in Detroit is exponentially better than the saints.

True. But he has improved every year with the equal amount of talent. We have gotten worse.

On what? There was a choice between an un experienced Campbell and a loser in Allen. They chose the loser

Campbell cherry picked coaches from us. Don’t know how else to elborate.

David Mongomery was on the Saints. He couldn’t see the field. Look at his production.

Dan Campbell was hired by the Lions in 2021, when Sean Payton was still Saints coach.

He hired Aaron Glenn, Saints DB coach, as DC. That’s it.

You managed to be wrong multiple times. Good work.

Sorry. I thought that one of the jobs of executives is bench planning. So if there is someone shows potential you keep them. Pretty sure he showed potential when he was here.

If not, he is now. Apprently he believes in this philosophy as well.

Might be wrong multiple times, but so were the Saints.

You can’t make Dan Campbell not take a job. By rule, you can’t block him from interviewing.

You can make him the heir apparent.

What are you smoking ? He was drafted by CHI, played 4 years and then signed with DET 2 yrs ago

You’re thinking of Ty Montgomery who was a WR and occasion RB with other teams

At the time Payton was giving all indications that he was staying for a rebuild and was 50ish. Do you think he turns down a HC offer to potentially be the next HC in 10+ years?
