The playcalling is lacking any sense

We get chunk plays in the middle of the field and then when the field shrinks, we retreat to throwing to the RBs in the flats ignoring the WRs that got us there until we get to 3rd and long. We also completely ignore arguably the best TE in CFB.
Happened multiple times. High octane big plays and all of a sudden, it’s 3rd and 8 and we stall

It looked like they were missing on basic plays that should have been drilled in practice. What are they doing during the week? Photoshoots?

Joe Sloan shouldn't have been promoted. Fine QB coach, not an OC. And the talk by fans of "we can't demote him, he's getting Underwood" is nonsense. You can't handcuff the entire team because of one unsigned recruit.

0 jet sweeps. Where has the quick outside pitch play gone? What about screens?

Should've given Thomas some carries. The passes to Durham in the flat and the slants and crossing routes over the middle were working. Idk why we kept throwing to the sidelines in the 2nd half. Those are long throws and Nuss was struggling. Getting Taylor involved would've helped calm him down too

Pass to covered RB in the flats, followed by heave to end zone to a rusty receiver and then try a finesse play on 3rd and long. Too much placed on Nuss imo
