I hope the refs stay out of it. I remember how wired our 2011 defense was. I see a little bit of that in this defense and I like it!

One thing I liked about the Arkansas refs was that they let the players go at it. Lacy and #13 on Arkansas were at it all night. And they let Weeks get away with what some refs may have called unnecessary roughness.

Someone posted penalty stats on sRant earlier. A&M and LSU are 5 and 6 respectively in the SEC for most penalties per game. LSU is #1 for opponents being the most penalized.
So, I won't be surprised about some bad calls happening by SEC refs.

A whole bunch depends on who the SEC WANTS to be the winner. That decision is a complex brew of financial interest, tv ratings going forward, and, as always, historic bias toward a couple of schools.
