Yes but you have to realize talent does not equal being a steady/safe contributor. McCray starts over Loston if we are talking about the safety position.

After my kool-aid buzz wore off I'll say he may not be starting next year by the 3rd or 4th game but he will definitely get significant playing time really early. So Jones will start but tell me who else is left that he can't beat out. McCray? Coleman? Francois? It's a strong possibility he could be starting next year by mid season. I also think he is a kid looking for the promise of early playing time and I wouldn't doubt he got that from Miles.

McCray a steady/safe contributor. If your contributions are to the other team, yeah. He'll compete, no doubt.

special teams beast

no more than that

Chavis won't need him like he did Berry... McCray and Coleman aren't great but they are vets... Chad Jones is Chad Jones and will be on the field... Hatcher emerged this year and will get PT and Steffoin Francois appears out of the doghouse

Derby, how long before you change your pics of Debose? That breaks my heart seeing those pics of AD.

I haven't read any replys, just your post. Loston will not start next year. No chance in hell unless there are several injuries in the secondary. The next great one is always the most popular, but Loston doesn't hold a candle to the likes of CJ. With that said, he'll be a stud in due time.

Danny McCray outperformed Coleman as a safety this year (throwing out the nickel stuff, McCray played well this year. Not great but OK, Coleman is good for nothing but whiffing on big hits and talking trash to teams that are killing us.)

Isn't Loston RS's cousin? And how about hitting his cousin out-of-bounds on the first snap

yeah we've talked about it on here. I'm glad they'll be on the same team in college.

If he's willing to do that to his cousin in an allstar game... out of bounds... imagine what he will to do to Julio Jones.

I think he plays a lot next year. Maybe not start, but that kind of talent/aggressiveness needs to be out there. Maybe like CJ did his freshman year.

He will cause a few fumbles.

I just wish JPW was around for a couple more years so he could feel the wrath of Loston

he got significant playing time....and so will Loston

+1. Loston may be a tad better than CJ with the ball in the air, Jones a bit stronger. Great to have them both coached up the right way with Cooper.
