I think they played equally well. Had about the same amount of yards, Shepard was definitely on the less talented team. They couldn't block worth a damn, for instance the extra point and field goal. Nor did they block for Russell, I saw him get hit multiple times due to bad blocking. Barkley also got more PT than RS. I for one am glad, we got the better QB.

I think the alternating QB's every series hurt Shep. Barkley played a lot, and played many back to back to back series. I agree that his o-line struggled, ESPECIALLY THE CENTER, it seemed to me as though he was picking up snaps from his feet the whole game. I thought he would be one of those guys that ran at the first sign of trouble, but he hung in the pocket, sometimes seemingly forever, and took a couple of knocks. All in all I was impressed, he'll get his shot at QB and that's all he's said he's wanted all along was a chance to prove what he can do.

As far as Barkley, he put up better stats, but threw at least a few more gimme picks that don't show up on the stat-line because they were dropped by the black defense. He threw a quick slant that the kid took for 71 yards. I'm not saying hes' not good, he is, but to those that think he's light years better as a QB need to quit looking at the stat line and watch the whole game. He made quite a few questionable throws that could have changed the game if anyone in the black secondary could catch.
