Just wanted to hear some opinions. Should make this Saturday all the more electric.

It was a great idea but executed poorly.

Purple is the least visible color already, and the stadium monitors keep putting up videos that crowd out the purple. I think everyone was hoping the monitors would go full purple and just play music but it didn't.

Not to mention that yellow LED also just looks like your standard visible light and gets crowded out as well.

So I personally hate when the stadium goes briefly dark after the home team score's a touchdown...saw that while watching Alabama/Georgia. Ruins the moment.

Instead of going briefly dark it should just go all purple. Lights, ribbons video board, etc. Then flash the gold after that. They seem to want to mix the lights together, which doesn’t work.

No, never need them in the first place.

But we’ve got to keep up with the Joneses, so now we’ve got them, but they’re not as good as the others.

They tease us with this, but I’ve never seen it like that

All purple is better than the dancing lights, hope they fix it for the 4th quarter this weekend

If I remember correctly, it’s just one row of alternating purple and yellow lights under each of the large bank of white lights. It seems more lights are needed to get the desired effect.

Yeah sure, but I thought that they'd have more lights for the cost.

What I don't like is that we don't have the SEC or Natty's on the scoreboard in the north endzone anymore.

From what I could see outside the stadium on the Friday night before the South Alabama game, the stadium was lit up something like this. (The picture is probably enhanced.)

They have the capability to do something approaching this picture. I had high hopes for the S. Alabama game. But they just drowned out the purple with bright video boards and flashing bright white/yellow lights once again.

It's the only reason we wasted money on the lights so it's the obvious next step.

They were years late on the lights so of course it's underwhelming.

My daughter's high school's stadium seats less than 1300 and they had LEDs and a 4th quarter light show before LSU.

It's not like LSU pioneered this. Other schools have done it for years.

Why can't we do it right? It just looks like a half-arse job.

No it was a half assed project and another waste of money. Do it right or don’t do it at all
