Tebow, McFadden, and Manziel need to get in on the action.

Peyton Manning should get in on this.

What exactly are they arguing?

Apparently you can't read because the statement says nothing about NIL or money. He wants his legacy, records and the 2010 season results reinstated.

Dick Butkus needs to get on this

quote:
Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor has filed a class-action lawsuit in the Southern District of Ohio Eastern Division, naming his former school, the NCAA and the Big Ten as defendants and seeking damages after being denied compensation from NIL during his time as a student-athlete.
Ralph Russo of The Athletic provided details from the lawsuit.
"For many years and continuing to the present, the Defendants have systematically and intentionally misappropriated the publicity rights and NIL of the Plaintiffs and those similarly situated and in doing so have reaped millions, and perhaps billions, of dollars from the Plaintiffs and the class," the lawsuit stated.
Bleacher report

Thank you. That is different than the statement that was quoted.

Hopefully the judges throw both cases out. Players involved agreed to the NCAA’s amateur eligibility rules that were in place when they accepted their scholarships. If they think they should have been paid athletes at 18-20 years old, then file a lawsuit against the NFL for their arbitrary “3 years removed from high school” rule for entering the draft

Would be really funny if during this the universities come clean on how much under the table cash all these players got and they all catch tax evasion charges.

Maurice Clarrett tried this route, and it ruined his career.

This is honestly stupid. The rules were different then, even if the rules were dumb. frick the NCAA and their dumb penalties over the years, but this is such a dumb lawsuit.

Difference is Bush and Pryor were casted as bad actors by the NCAA. They have legit ammo though i dont think they should be compensated other than records and statistics.
If I'm SMU I'm watching these cases close. Nothing the NCAA has done is more egregious than what happened to that program. Baylor had a rape culture, New Mexico covered up a murder, MSU covered up countless rapes and Penn St covered up pedophilia. None got the death penalty. SMU paid a few football players.
