Sorry for the loss of life and property. I’m lucky just a roof and a fence. Still without power, but it’s ok.

1. Western NC will likely be closed until next spring I guess
2. Augusta area courses including Aiken and to Lake Oconee all were hit, but flooding was not a big issue. Trees everywhere. Will be closed several weeks while neighborhoods recover. I guess it will be a course by course call. My guess would be weeks for most and months for some depending on how much damage each sustained. I’ve seen pictures of West Lake, CC and I’ve heard Champions Retreat has 1300+ trees down on course. These are mostly tall pine trees so it will take time for removal.

Forest Hills had sprigged their greens and were going to reopen in October. I’m sure that is delayed.

Jones Creek is supposedly re-opening next August.

Anybody walk by their course and have a report?

Not in the area, but have seen lots of images on social media of different courses (including Augusta) and feel terrible for that area.

Augusta has the resources that this won’t be a challenge, but many courses do not. Hope it all works out.

The Augusta area courses will be fine. Trees coming down is very fixable

Some of the courses in North Carolina that have had parts of the course erode away are toast for a long time

I think western NC probably has the most long term damage all in all.

Roads are washed away. Homes destroyed.

Golf courses will be closed much longer than anywhere else hit in this hurricane.
