If you were SERIOUSLY disappointed by today's commits..

then you don't really follow recruiting. Everybody knew that the only guy we really had a shot at today was Campbell. And that had to be considered a longshot at best due to all conflicting information the last couple of weeks. He's been a UM lock all year, and then all of the sudden the week of the game he "eliminates" UM and names 2 or 3 different leaders? There's a reason why LSU, Miami, and FSU people all thought they had him. Becuase he was blowing smoke up everybody's arse to build the hype for his announcment. That way he wouldn't be left out of the fun.
Remember, just because you see an LSU hat on a table when a kid commits doesn't mean LSU was really in the running, or was even really recruiting the kid at all.

from here on out you really should only be upset if we lose, randle, mingo. We already got loston. I would say myles but that still would not shock me if he went somewhere else

I'll put Debose in there too. Not because I'll be upset we "lost" him to his in-state school, but because I really want him here, I think he can be a special player in this offense.
Losing Mingo or Randle, especially to Bama, will really hurt.

I am a bit disappointed from the Campbell thing today...I was convinced we had a great shot, LSU's hat was not there for fun...
Michigan program is in trouble IMO...but they need him badly...
If we get no one tomorrow you won't be disappointed either?
Debose has been supposedly an LSU silent, is he playing games too?

Yeah, i'll be bummed if we don't get Debose. And I wish we had gotten Campbell, don't get me wrong. I guess my original post was mostly directed to the 20 or so posts that were shocked and amazed we didn't get WC. I don't see how anybody could figure we had better than a slight chance to get the guy, and yet people are freaking out like we lost Randle, Mingo and Mike Ford to bama all at the same time.

I'd be surprised if we get Debose. Randle i feel good about even though he's doesn't say much. Mingo has been very quit throughout the process also. I don't see him leaving the state though.

I still remember the dark days of the late 90's in LSU recruiting. I remember when we all were happy to get Derron Parquet. In state top talent was all too happy to go to Florida State, Miami, Florida, Texas and even Texas A&M.
These past few years of recruiting have made me (and those who remember the bad ol' days)feel very grateful to what LSU has signed.

I am sick of the "switch hats" trick that some of these kids do. I think it shows a lack of respect to people and universities that have invested lots of time and energy in their recruitment. After seeing Campbell's antics yesterday, I am not so disappointed to lose him. I know he is a great talent, but he has some growing up to do. If you want to look at an example of a young man with his shite together, look at how Nixon announced.

For the top recruits it is all about the money. When Campbell made those comments to make it sound like he was going to LSU instead of Michigan he was actually saying to Michigan, "that's not enough money to get me and you need to get right to get me."
