Does anyone think it’s been kind of abnormal the amount of crazy catches guys have made on us through 4 games?

Multiple crazy catches by USC, Nicholls had a couple, UCLA with a circus catch before half.

I get that we aren’t that talented in the back end, but even when we are in position some kind of crazy bounce happens and the guy catches it. I believe our guys need to start seeing a few of those hit the ground. Our guys have 0 confidence, and if a few of those balls would start hitting the ground their confidence would start to build.

ETA. They don’t have confidence except for that weird false confidence Burns has that he’s some type of lock down safety.

Yes, 100% agreed. Said the same thing during the game yesterday. Insane some of the balls these teams bring down against us.

I thought this yesterday when the UCLA receiver did the double catch I think to open the second half, or maybe it was just before halftime.

There have absolutely been some wild catches on plays where our guys actually gave good coverage.

I counted three great UCLA catches yesterday. Guys were well covered. Just great throw and a great catch each time.

I did too, but after watching good defenses yesterday, their CB’s seem to stay with the receiver and tackle where ours seem to be lunging as a last ditch effort to get a hand on the ball and then fall down leaving the receiver uncontested to have a second chance at a ball tipped up
