So I got turned By a fellow hunter on to the man doing sausage at Romeros on Denham Road in central last year. He made the best syrup and pepperjack cheese sausage. Heard he has now closed or moved on to another location. Does anyone know where he is now? I would like to bring my deer to get processed TIA

I had used him for several years and last year he told me that he was shutting down and wasn’t opening again?!?
I sometimes use full rut meat shop in Walker and they are on par or better than romero’s. Small operation and they had a lot of business last year and if romero’s closes I’m sure they will get more which typically impacts quality turnaround time.

Romero’s sold out and the new owner isn’t doing deer sausage (from what I hear). It was by far my favorite.

Yeah Paul at Full Rut does a good job and he's a good dude. His shop is clean too. Actually just thawed out some of his smoked jap/cheddar to cook this evening.

Joe Romero wasn't making that sausage. It was another ol boy doing the sausage. Joe sold and i had heard a while back that the sausage guy had moved across the river to Carter's grocery. Not sure if thats 100% true though.

This is correct. They just moved to the old Carter's at the back of the paintball place. Looks like they remodeled and have all new equipment and everything. Dropped off some stuff recently and just got it back same as it was at Romero's.
