Johnsons Post Game Analysis

He never said LSU...always they or them and he said that
"the Fake Punt will come back and get you.It was a nice fake but the game was over and what goes around comes around!"
"That football team (LSU) under achieved in my mind". "We knew right where they were on Defense..didnt do anything we didnt practice!"
Any positives on the game:
"Well we played well in the 2nd half and we held them out of the endzone cause its not like they werent trying to score!!!"
Sounds like a guy that is making excuses for almost everything!!! what a Whiner!!!

Dobber - thinking the same thing over here.
Sounds like a whiny little coach who just got whippped by an average football team with a True Freshmen QB.
They were simply outcoached. And I will tell you that Offense would never work in the SEC - Bama would eat it up, Florida would eat it up. Just because he ran it on UGA (A rivalry game) doesnt mean Jack in my opinion.
Miles proved once again you give him a month to prepare for a team and his team will win. We looked faster, and more prepared last night.
As for the fake punt - I love it. Everyone hated Steve Spurrier because he did things like that, but hey he was the master at Florida - and Miles is becoming a feared coach as well. He has had one bad season (hell we still won 8 games). He has identified the problem (Co-DC's) and made the change.
I have faith that he will keep this train moving in the right direction. The future looks bright though - atleast we know we have a QB now and a stud coming in and even one or 2 who have played significant minutes on the bench.
Lets finish this year off with a great finish in Recruiting and lets start 09 off right. I dont know if I have been more anxious for a new season than I am now.

He's crying about the fake punt, but if GT had the oppurtunity Paul Johnson would of tried to run up the score every chance he got. This game was supposed to be GT's game to blow out the defending champs and make a statement.
He did know what we were gonna do on defense, (who didn't all year?), but the fact that he knew and couldn't do anything about it and lsu underachieved is just saying LSU's athletes completely dominated his team and his coaching couldn't compensate.

that is funny...I heard the entire post-game press conference and did not hear those "quotes" nearly the same way as you.
I did hear him say before and after the game that LSU was the most talented team we have played all year...and that Les Miles does a great job getting his team ready to play for bowl games.
He also said that the blame for the showing "starts with me". He reiterated "things are never as good or as bad as they seem." He then said "Everyone made our team to be a lot further along than they really were from a consistency perspective...hopefully this shows our kids that they have a lot of work to do to get better."

Wait...the coach of the 14th ranked team playing in their own city was crying about an unranked team with a true freshman QB starting his second game running it up on them? Please tell me Tech fans are embarrassed by this sad display by their coach?

Anybody else think that Les was stewing all week over all the smack and cockiness coming from PJ and did that as payback? From what I have always observed, the Big 10 coaches have never been a real cocky bunch. There is none of the Spurrier/Richt/CUM BS amongst their coaches, and I am guessing that Miles was not appreciating hearing his shiite all week....
