Just the status of the program now. CBk is not the answer either. Scott W needs to start taking some heat too.

You adapt with what you’re given and NIL is going nowhere. The problem starts with BK.

Hiring people in any profession in the twilight of their career rarely works, especially when the person has been mediocre forever. Young and innovative is what is needed.

In the last 2 years, LSU has won more bowl games than they did in the entirety of the 80s. SOme of you must be going through menopause with these emotional swings you are taking right now.

To be fair, non-playoff bowl games now for a school like LSU are more like pre-season games for the following year with players opting out to prepare for the draft or transfer portal.

Bowls are going to continue losing their luster more and more with the expanded playoff

NIL isn’t the problem with this team. Also, do you pay attention to recruiting, because we are about to pay a fortune for a class that will end up between 1 and 3 and will have the top QB and RB.

I’m not saying there aren’t issues with the program, but NIL doesn’t seem to be one of them going forward.

The bowl landscape is much different now. You’re also retarded.

Anyone who compares the current state of LSU football to the LSU football program through the 1980s is retarded.

Is that really a fair or even reasonable comparator? Bowl games nowadays are not anything special outside of possible NY6. It is a joke.

We were pretty good for the most part that decade TBH, Arnsparger and early Archer seasons

Don't we have the #1 QB recruit in the 2025 cycle? How did we pull him from Michigan?

LSU was 1-4 in bowl games in the 1980's. Meaningless or not, losing 80% of your bowl games in a decade is not good. The comparison to the decade is stupid. If he had said we were similar to the Arnsparger era, that may have been more applicable. But 2/3rd of the 80s were Stoval and Archer and the program is better than either of what those guys were doing. By virtue of recruiting, if nothing else.

Just an indicator of the end of the season. LSU was 1-4 in bowl games in the 80s. Perhaps it is not as good an indicator but there is no good objective metric to compare those two seasons.

And 7 years of the 80s were Stoval and Archer. It's not comparable to the state of modern LSU football IMO. I start every season with the thought that we may be able to challenge for a national championship and the SEC. I did not start most seasons in the 80s feeling that way.

Well, you may now scratch that from this year's list as well.

Dude it feels prettt damn accurate. Averaging roughly 3 losses with a finish somewhere around 15 with an occasional top 10 year

We won sec titles. Man I don’t feel like this current lsu is trending towards that at all
