You know the Program is exponentially far from a Nati when the last drive everyone knew

Every single person and their damn mother knew without a freaking doubt in their mind that USC undoubtedly was going to score that last possession. I wish I had gone into Bovada and placed a bet but I was too focused on the game. As much as I know 2=2=4, I knew that USC would undoubtedly score that last possession that's how pathetic this team is.

USC had only put up 20 points at that point in the game. Statistically based on points per drive, it wasn't definitive they would score.............................................. but you knew......... You still knew. Everyone knew. Every person in the stadium knew. That's the sign of a program that isn't within time zones of a Nati.

Every single person knew damn well they would score. And guess what happened? 7. 100% shows the lack of confidence this team has. The lack of "It" guys. The lack of anyone who really cares that much. The lack of leaders. There are no guys on this team that I can point to and say "That guy is him. That is a guy I trust no matter what on the field." There were 7 or 8 him guys in 2019. Jayden was one. Malik and BTJ were one. We have 0 on this team.

Say it's 2011, 2012, really any damn year pre 2020. I would still think we have a chance going into that last drive for USC. In today's age, I knew without a single doubt that we had lost the football game when we settled for a Field Goal.

You mean you weren't thinking Harold Perkins was going to morph into Tyrann Mathieu on the last drive?

This. Right. Here.

LSU lost “it.” Especially in big moments and big games. If stakes are high now, you know LSU is going to blow it. It’s a lot like watching the Dallas Cowboys. Lots of bullshite wins but you know it’s not coming together when it matters most.

The worst part is getting the teeth kicked in at the beginning of the season. All of the joy gone. Everyone else gets to keep the dream alive at least for a few more weeks. They get to wake up in October with a cool snap in the air and think “yeah we’re still in this thing, this is college football.” LSU just shits the bed day 1 and turns the bayou boat from landing on championship island to crashing into Cheez It bowl bay.

Terrible. It’s really at a point that administration needs to look at putting a pause on things for a bit. Direct some of the money back into the school, buildings, research, etc. and then try the football thing again in a few years.

Which is why you put your foot on their neck and finish them off when we were up 17-13. The D had 2 or 3 straight stops at that point, but Kelly/Sloan went into deep predictable/conservative play calling, almost as if they were just trying to run clock and kick a field goal, instead of opening up the lead when the chance was there. It was just like us against OM last year....we had 2 or 3 shots at the end of the game to put OM away, but got conservative then too. BK is not a championship coach.

was he even on the field? May be the most overrated player in a very long time for LSU. No way he is all-american, and he damn sure isn't going to play Middle Linebacker in the NFL.

LSU is definitely still in it....all the tough games line up at home this year...BUT....we now officially realize what BK is, and I can't imagine him having the coaching ability to win big games. He goes ultra conservative, despite knowing that we are suspect on defense. He was calling plays in the second half like we had a top defense. I don't blame the defense, I thought they played much better....he just asked them to do too much. That's why when you up 17-13 you put the hammer down. Instead, he went ultra conservative, then blamed everyone else but himself.

Yeah that was the maddening part, our offense only seem to want to counter punch instead of be the aggressor
