Help With Italy Itinerary in Oct

Hey folks, I have a wedding in Bologna the weekend of October 5th. There will be a large contingency of folks flying from the US with the general itinerary being to arrive and leave out of Milan from Sept. 29th-Oct 6th. The only thing we have set in stone is to be in Florence the Wednesday before the wedding for a group dinner (dinner recs welcome here as well), before travel to Bologna to start the wedding festivities on Thursday.
My question is what to do upon arrival until we need to be in Florence. Here are some scenarios I've been thinking about:
A) Arrive in Milan Sunday morning around 10am. Book lodging in Milan for Sunday night and hope to check in earlier for a quick nap and then to explore the city. Wake up Monday, check out, and then head to lake Como for Monday-Tues. Leave for Florence Wednesday morning, one night in Florence, head to Bologna on Thursday.
B) Arrive in Milan, book Sunday and Monday night at a hotel, do a day trip to Como on Monday, and leave for Florence on Tuesday. 2 nights in Florence.
C) Skip Como, spend one night in Milan, head directly to Florence on Monday and explore Pisa, etc.
Looking at travel from Como to Florence, that could be overly ambitious. Would love to spend more time exploring, but am limited with work. I don't want to burn myself out but I'd really like to hit the highlights if possible. I've not heard much about Milan, but I know everyone I've met that has been to Florence raves about it. I've always wanted to go to Como, but I'm willing to skip it if it just doesn't make sense logistically. Traveling solo if this makes any difference, so pretty adaptable/agile with plans.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

If you can make the travel work I would prioritize Lake Como over Milan 100/100 times.

The daytrip from Florence that you want is Siena, not Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is maybe the most overrated attraction in Italy, while Siena is like magic.

Not sure how big the group but Buca Mario has a 10-12 person private room and the restaurant is incredible

We started in Bologna last year and spent time in Tuscany and then Florence. Here is a link to my blog: Two Texans in Tusany
We wanted to go to Como when we planned it before COVID, but that derailed our plans. I would definitely go to Como then Florence. If you want to stay south of Florence, we loved Sienna and Montepluciano.
Hope this helps.

Buca Mario is in Florence? Will definitely check it out. I think our group might be slightly larger than that, but it's nice to have options. Thank ya.

You're a well traveled dude and I respect your opinions here. Thanks for replying. You think 2 days in Como and 1 in Florence would be the way to do it? My gut feeling was to not spend too much time in Milan, so appreciate you confirming.
This is coming together kind of haphazardly, I wasn't 100% sure I was going to be able to make it up until fairly recently, so I'm just trying to throw together an itinerary that hits the highlights without killing myself on in-country travel.

The only problem is that it's a fairly long travel day from Lake Como to Florence. It looks like the fastest way is a 3 hour train ride but you have to factor in getting to and from the train station. Maybe check the train schedules so you could travel to FLorence very late afternoon of early evening so you maximize you days?
I love Florence so to me one day isn't enough. I enjoy going through museums and galleries (quickly). YMMV on that.
The other thing to consider is the feeling that all you're doing is traveling and not spending enough time exploring. You need to balance that out.

If you've never been to Oktoberfest, you could head to Munich for a day or two!

If you go to Milan and want to see the "Last Supper" painting, be sure and book tickets in advance.

Seven nights? Perhaps consider fewer hotel changes.
D: Go directly from Milan ( Malpensa?) to Venice by train. Stay there 3 days then stay 4 in Bologna. then back to Milan.
All trips are less than 3 hours by train.

Yeah lemme just hop on over

I have been, in 2019. Great time, would go again, probably not for this trip. Appreciate the replies. Leaning towards just staying in Milan Sun-Tues, day tripping to Como on Monday, and then heading to Florence on Tues.
