More to be settled after 3:00 today with the practice squad being filled but for now here are my surprise additions to the Black & Gold
Will Harris S
This guy was given a free ticket on the fastest train out of Detroit. Top 100 pick out of BC Draft profile A full time safety that for some reason was shoved into a CB role where he failed terribly. A four year vet and very athletic with good tackling habits. Saints put him where he belongs and he may have found a home for a while.
Khristian Boyd DT
Have to say I heard little about this guy since drafted. Projected 5-6 round pick. Draft profile Seems to have good size and foundation. Perhaps they see a big upside on this guy. Nothing stands out from his playing days except he is hard to move from his spot and rarely is put on the ground.
Isaiah Foskey ?
Don't get this one at all.
Rico Payton CB
Dude just played himself on the team by showing up everywhere. I didn't hear as much about him at practice but he sure showed up at game time so congrats to him. Called best CB in Div II and played for the...Gorillas, Clocked at 4.59 which is probably the slowest of all our CBs so the guy must have great twitch and instincts.

All defense. Can someone please find a few new offensive players for a change? Apparently NOT!

Cutting him would be an open admission that ANOTHER high draft pick was a total failure.

Guaranteed contract probably playing a role. Also, he's had a whole ONE SEASON to develop, might be a little early to give up on him.
