Tablet is dead

I know title sucks but that's due to my problem. The outer edge of the tablet is unresponsive. The middle of the screen works fine but anything on the outer part of the screen is useless. I edited this text because I can't even use the outer part of the keyboard. I'm using the autotype fetcher to type. Any ideas.

Buy a new one and get your data transferred over ASAP.

A massive portion of the cost of a tablet is in the screen. It’s almost never worth replacing them unless they are under warranty. If it is, great. If not, I agree with Lonnie: time to move on.

And as a side bar, this is why I prefer android tables to apple products. I can but a massive micro-SD card in an android table and store my important data on the external storage. Then IF something like this happens, I still have everything on the card.

And the day after I post this, the SD card in my phone becomes corrupted and a bunch of my photos disappear. I was able to recover them, but I feel snake bitten by Karma. So I'm upgrading the card in my phone from 256gb to 512 and replacing it....

Try restoring it to factory settings and if that doesn’t work it may be time for a new one before it dies completely. That way you can transfer everything over and the new one will be set up exactly how the one you have now
