Was wondering what kind of cell signal you are getting offshore from Grand Isle and Port Fourchon. Seems like a few miles would be achievable.

T-Mobile is the best offshore.. near most rigs you’ll get service

I don’t go offshore much but last time i went I lost signal quickly a few miles offshore.

Like poster above said, as soon as I got to some rigs I got a signal again, at least while I was close to them. I was 30ish miles out.

I have AT&T

Pretty good signal out. To 10 miles, then whenever near manned platforms
Have had phone call 30 miles out, of course it was telemarketers.

I have ATT and at most floaters I get 5 bars LTE. Honestly I get better service 80 miles offshore than I do in Baton Rouge.

Have to be near rig though, open water is dead zone

Decent coverage out to the shelf (+/- 68 miles) Can be spotty at times. I can FaceTime from ST-130 (33 miles), no problem.

7 miles out of Fourchon had great reception. Didn’t check any further Verizon
