The underrated Osmonds

The algorithm decided that I needed a refresher on The Osmonds. I was really only familiar with the Donnie & Marie bubblegum era. However, the earlier years were more “rock” or Mo Town than fluff. They were very talented, playing multiple instruments and surprisingly good dancers. They were more talented and entertaining than the vast majority of what we have today in Top 40 music.
The English produced “On Tour with The Osmonds”(1973) was very good. The hype and reaction was very Beatle-esque.

Donnie was excellent in a quality production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. If you have kids, they will love it, so long as you don't have to explain the affair with Potiphar's wife.
And I'd gladly have given Marie a little more rock and roll.
